Why governance is the hard part of agentic software
Agents can write code. Making that output trustworthy, traceable and safe to ship is the real engineering problem.
The interesting question is no longer whether an agent can produce a working artifact. It usually can. The question is whether you can trust what it produced, trace how it got there, and stop it when it is wrong.
That is a governance problem, not a model problem. A governed pipeline gives every agent a role, a contract, and a verification gate, so output is checked against a specification before it is allowed to move downstream.
This article walks through the pattern we use, and where it pays off.
